Jack has a over a decade of teaching experience that has led him to offer masterclasses at colleges, high schools and middle schools around the state of Oregon. He also maintains a small private teaching studio in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland where he designs a unique curriculum for each student, helping them come to their own understanding of the basic building blocks of music. Jack holds the belief that any student can learn what they need learn about music, regardless of the style or genre they are looking at, so they might as well have fun studying the music they want to study.

Jack holds a B.M. and M.M. in Jazz performance from the University of Oregon and has extensive performance experience in jazz and other styles of music.
